This course is designed to give Commissioners an understanding of Florida’s stringent laws. Participants will broaden their knowledge of ethics requirement for elected officials, understand the Sunshine Law and Public Record Law, learn about reporting requirements, and become familiar with the process of an ethics complaint. All Commissioners are required to take 4 hours of ethics each calendar year.

The annual meeting will take place in conjunction with the 2024 FAC Annual Conference on June 25-26, 2024 at the Hilton Bonnet Creek in Orlando, Orange County. The annual meeting will kick off at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 with a FACHSA Board meeting and a membership Annual Business Meeting followed by the FACHSA Roundtable where peer-to-peer discussions will be had on issues in Florida’s communities.
