CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – We are officially one month out from the 2024 Hurricane Season. This month, the men and women of the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) are doing their part to help citizens prepare before any storm systems hit our radar.

Broward County Commissioner Hazelle Rogers Launches County Small Business Micro-Grant Program  

BROWARD COUNTY – Broward Board of County Commissioners, in partnership with the Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD), are establishing a Small Business Micro-Grant Pilot Program to provide working capital for small businesses located within Broward County. Micro-Grants of $2,500 will be available to small businesses and distributed evenly throughout all commission districts on a first come, first served basis.

Florida is firing back at a federal judge that says the state was illegally given authority to review and allow the destruction of protected wetlands, and the state wants permission to process more than 1,000 permit applications that are stuck in the review pipeline.
