Suwannee County is currently seeking applicants for the position of a regular full-time Marketing Coordinator. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in tourism, public relations, business administration, hotel/restaurant management, marketing, journalism, or a related program. Additionally one year of experience in a tourist development setting is preferred. A current Florida Driver’s License is required.
An employee in this classification will help plan and implement social media strategy for online efforts, implement direct mail and telemarketing to tour operators, travel writers, and travel agents, create and update content on the local web page for tourist development and other tasks as assigned. Applicant must be proficient in WordPress. Core Competencies involved are decision making/judgment, initiative, flexibility, dependability, leadership, project management, written communication skills and strategic thinking. Salary range is $24,960 - $34,736 annually depending upon qualifications and experience. Retirement, insurance, paid holidays, annual and sick leave benefits are included.
