City Planner – City of Treasure Island, FL.

Salary: $56,387 Closing date: Open Until Filled.

The City of Treasure Island, a Gulf front community located in Pinellas County, is seeking a City Planner. Position is responsible for the planning and zoning activities; as well as research functions.  Work includes updating the City’s land development regulations, reviewing and preparing recommendations on development requests (i.e. variances special exceptions, site plan reviews, plats, etc.) updating and maintaining the Comprehensive Plan, and making presentations to the Planning and Zoning Board, City Commission, civic groups and the general public.  Work is performed under the direction of the Community Improvement Department Director.  

The position requires graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Planning or closely related field; Master’s Degree preferred. Five (5) years experience in municipal or County planning.
