Facilities Management Director


Osceola County is seeking a Facilities Management Director. The purpose of the position is to perform highly responsible work in the management and oversight of the County’s General Services, Building Maintenance, and Property Management Offices. Employees in this classification function in a management capacity, and are responsible for administering and supervising the operation of the Departments, including the development of policies, supervision of professional personnel, planning and organization of services to the public and the development of administrative procedures. In August 2013, the Florida Association of Counties' Board of Directors approved a federal program that includes advocacy, informational services and partnerships. As part of the its advocacy program, staff represents Florida's counties before the United States Congress and federal agencies on a limited number of priorities identified by its membership. During the year, FAC monitors the national issues identified in its federal platform that are affecting county government, and provides updates to its members.
