NACo and CVS/Caremark recently honored FAC with an Outstanding Program Advocate Award for excellence in supporting and promoting the NACo Prescription Discount Card Program. The award was presented to FAC leaders on July 21, 2013 as part of the NACo Annual Conference in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Since the inception of the program, FAC has been a stalwart supporter and a strong advocate for implementation in all of Florida's counties.  44 Florida counties currently participate and we are excited to welcome Santa Rosa County as the newest addition to the program.

The NACo card program has been an incredible benefit to uninsured and underinsured Floridians while also providing needed funding in support of FAC's advocacy efforts. To date the program has resulted in nationwide savings of $536M through over 42.4 million prescriptions. CVS/Caremark continues to maintain the nation’s largest network of providers with over 60,000 participating pharmacies.

FAC is honored to have received this award. We are proud to partner with NACo and CVS/Caremark in providing county residents with access to needed prescription medications. If you would like more information about the program, please contact Latoya Washington at lwashington@fl-counties.com.
