Florida's Department of Environmental Protection is holding rule development workshops November 14-16 to discuss proposed changes to its Water Resource Implementation Rule (Chapter 62-40, Florida Administrative Code).    The agency is considering criteria for reuse offsets and credits, reclaimed water policy recommendations and Consumptive Use Permitting ("CUP") consistency recommendations.

There will be three workshops to be held at the following locations:

November 14                    Palm Beach County Governmental Center,  301 N. Olive Avenue, 6th Floor Chambers, West Palm Beach, Florida

November 15                    Burnett Park, 4801 W Colonial Drive, Orlando, Florida (near the baseball fields and next to the gymnasium off Delores Drive)

November 16                   4075 Esplanade Way, Room 152, Tallahassee, Florida

Each of the workshops will begin at 9:00 a.m.   While DEP’s past workshops discussed ideas of the CUP workgroups, this will be the first opportunity to review a draft rule implementing those ideas.   Comments on the proposed rule will be due no later than December 3, 2012.
