FAC President and Charlotte County Commissioner Christopher Constance, M.D., presented Evan Flores, Charlotte High School graduate, with a $2,000 Presidential Scholarship during a Board of County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, July 11. Flores will use the money to pursue degrees in biochemistry and political science at Florida State University.

The scholarship is awarded to a student in the President’s home county who demonstrates academic excellence, has an interest in a career in public service, and has been accepted to attend a Florida university. “I am honored to play a part in assisting FAC to help Evan achieve his academic and professional dreams with this scholarship,” said Commissioner Constance. “I know Evan will make Charlotte County and his family very proud as he works to make his mark on the world. I wish him great success.”

Funding for the FAC Presidential Scholarship comes through the association’s Corporate Partners program. FAC Corporate Partners consist of business organizations that work with FAC and Florida counties to help them effectively serve and represent their local communities.
