Derelict Vessel Removal Funding Final Opportunity Announcement

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is currently announcing the final 2016/2017 opportunity to apply for Derelict Vessel (DV) Removal funds.  The application period for the final DV funding opportunity will begin on February 8, 2017, and run on a first-come, first-served basis. 2017 Financial Management Workshop

This course provides guidance for commissioners to better manage their county's fiscal affairs. Participants will gain a basic understanding of the state's fiscal trends, budgeting process, revenue sources available to their counties and the what, when and how to issue debt.  Participants who complete this workshop in its entirety will receive 6 core credits toward the CCC Certification.   Torchbearers will receive 25 points.

2017 Growth Management Workshop

This course is designed to give commissioners an understanding of the history of land use planning in Florida and how we got where we are today. Participants will learn the realities of implementing comprehensive plans including how amendments, development approvals, and exceptions should be handled. Participants who complete this workshop in its entirety will receive 6 core credits toward the CCC Certification, Torchbearers will receive 25 points for full attendance.

2017 Ethics, Public Records & Sunshine Laws Workshop

During the 2013 Legislative Session, the Florida legislature passed new ethics legislation requiring that Commissioners and other Constitutional Officers take four hours of Ethics programming each calendar year.  This workshop is open to Commissioners, County Staff and all other Constitutional Officers.  Participants who complete this workshop in its entirety will receive 6 core credits toward the CCC Certification as well as fulfill their 2017 Ethics requirement for the Legislature.
