Lake County represents “the other half” of the Orlando area, with beautiful natural resources (over 1,000 freshwater lakes and rivers and some of Florida’s only rolling hills), historic downtowns and award-winning sports facilities; all within a short driving distance of downtown Orlando, the Central Florida theme parks, coastal beaches and the Orlando International Airport. For all of these reasons, Lake County’s adopted slogan, “Real Florida. Real Close.” is a well-suited description of the county and its unique amenities.

Together, the leaders of the community and its citizens are continuously striving to make Lake County an ideal place to live, work and play.
