Comprehensive Resiliency Planner

Description: The Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council is accepting applications for the position of Comprehensive Resiliency Planner. This is a specialized professional position that works on development and preparation of resiliency-related planning activities throughout the Tampa Bay Region. Work duties include but are not limited to overseeing preparation of Hurricane Guides, development of Local Mitigation Strategies, local government vulnerability assessment coordination, Community Rating System planning and support, GIS, and evacuation planning.

Minimum qualifications include: Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning, or Environmental Science with a Resiliency Focus, or a related field from an accredited college or university and three years of experience; or Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning or a related field and five years of experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be substituted.  Three years of progressively responsible full time experience in resiliency management and/or planning along with a Master’s degree in planning is preferred.

Salary Range:  $55,000 - $65,000
