Located on the beautiful southwest coast of Florida, Collier County (est. pop. 370,000) is one of the largest of Florida's counties by area.  Ranked as a “best in class” place to live and visit, Collier County is known worldwide as a vacation paradise for its natural beauty including 30 miles of pristine beaches along the Gulf of Mexico.  Collier County is home to the well-known destination cities of Naples and Marco Island, among others.  The County is seeking candidates for the position of Director of the Facilities Management Division.  The Division is responsible for providing secure, clean and comfortable facilities for citizens, visitors, and staff.  The Division’s total net operating budget for FY18 is $16.3 million with $14.3 million funded through the general fund.  The Division has a team of 64 FTEs, supplemented by 150+ contracted employees for security, pest control, landscaping and grounds maintenance, janitorial services and other maintenance services.  Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Public/Business Administration, Facilities Management, or a closely related field; six (6) years of progressively responsible managerial experience in construction, facilities, or property management or as an operations division director; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.  Candidates must meet all promotional eligibility requirements and certifications and complete training, certification and licensing from the State of Florida for Security D and G licenses within one year of appointment.  Experience in significant capital (vertical) construction, renovations, real estate, contracts management, negotiations, and budgeting is needed.  A background in civil or mechanical engineering or architecture is beneficial.  Salary range is $95,375-$140,520; starting salary is dependent upon qualifications.  The County offers an attractive benefits package.  The State of Florida does not have a state income tax.  Résumé review will begin July 16, 2018.  To apply, visit and apply online.  Questions may be directed to S.
