ASSISTANT COUNTY ATTORNEY: The Alachua County Attorney’s Office is seeking to fill three Assistant County Attorney positions. Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar and experience in the relevant field of law as outlined required. Board certification in City, County and Local Government Law or the relevant area of law preferred, but not required. Salary range is $61,492.91-$98,508.38. Individual may be hired at the Senior Assistant County Attorney classification dependent upon experience and qualifications ($88,272.70-$149,976.94).

Employment Law Attorney: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in employment law. Public sector employment law experience preferred. Must be admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District at the time of hire.

Transactional/Real Estate Law Attorney: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in government contracting or government procurement. Experience with real estate transactions and closings required. Eminent domain experience preferred.

Insurance Defense/Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney: Minimum of 3 years’ complex civil litigation experience, including trial experience at both the state and federal level.  Must be admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District at the time of hire. Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation defense required. Experience representing local government or a self-insured plan preferred.
