The Florida Association of County Attorneys, Inc. (FACA) is a Florida non-profit corporation whose purpose is to advise the Florida Association of Counties' Board of Directors on issues of county interest and to provide a forum for research, advice and discussion in the development of local government law, including technical support assistance.
The Florida Association of County Attorneys is led by a Board of Directors and four officers. FACA operates through several committees, including four standing committees: Seminar Committee, Attorney General's Opinion Coordinating Committee, Legislative Committee and the Membership Committee. There are also four issue-based committees -- Finance & Tax; Public Safety & Courts; Growth Management and General Governmental. Those persons who serve as the county attorney, an assistant, associate or deputy county attorney for a Florida county are eligible for membership.
The annual membership dues are $100 per person. The dues allow the member password-protected access to the FACA Forum listserv and free registration to the annual FACA CLE Seminar held concurrently with the Florida Association of Counties Annual Conference. For additional membership information, please contact the Office of the General Counsel.
