This regional webinar explains how counties may identify, implement and support successful economic development activities to increase well-paying employment opportunities and create a broader taxbase. Participants will understand the basics about their local economy, how to cultivate new companies and retain existing ones.  Speakers from Enterprise Florida, Inc., Workforce Florida, Inc., and the Department of Economic Opportunity will be presenting their missions, goals, and their roles in county economic development.

This regional webinar will be held Thursday, March 7th from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. EST at 6 UF/IFAS locations throughout the state of Florida.  The locations hosting this regional webinar are:  Alachua, Gadsden, Hendry, Hillsborough, Okaloosa, and Osceola Counties.  The fee to participate is $50.  Click here to register and reserve your seat for this event at one of the 6 participating UF/IFAS extension offices. 

Registration is now open for all Commissioners and county staff who wish to attend.  Commissioners attending this event will receive 3 hours of elective credit toward their CCC certification.
